So are pieces on drugs and alcohol. Here we find an artful comingling of both devices. And it’s actual news no less.
News stories that affect their readers’ lives are among the most popular pieces of any given day, and often make for some of the best link bait. True-life bizarrities are another. News stories about true-life bizarrities that affect their readers’ lives is therefore a one-two punch that serves up a TKO when combined with a classic key term like “beer”.
Even if your site is for the non-scientific, non-technical types (especially if it is) then finding a science and technology story that might directly affect their lives and reporting on it in plainspoken, nonscientific, nontechnical terms they can understand and relate to could be a unique link bait entry in your site’s content repertoire.
